Meet Jason Lowe: A Champion for Justice, Civil Rights, and Oklahoma County

Representative Jason Lowe, candidate for Oklahoma County Commissioner, is a dedicated attorney and a passionate advocate for justice. With a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Virginia State University and a Juris Doctorate from Oklahoma City University School of Law, Lowe has built a career rooted in fairness and community service. As the founding member of The Lowe Law Firm, established in 2009, he has continuously worked to ensure justice is served - for all of us.
Jason's foundational belief is that everyone should be judged equally under the law and that justice is best served when it heals societal gaps in underserved communities. A top priority will be ensuring the new detention center and mental health facility best serve Oklahoma County’s least served.
In his role as Representative for House District 97, Lowe demonstrated an unwavering commitment to public service. As former chair of the Oklahoma Legislative Black Caucus and the first African American attorney from District 97 appointed to the House Judiciary Committee, he has been a trailblazer in advocating for civil rights and justice reform.
His legislative efforts include promoting responsible policing, advocating for rehabilitation over incarceration for non-violent drug offenders and pushing for increased educational funding for public schools and HBCUs like Langston University.
Lowe's dedication to mental health is evident through his initiatives like the "Know Your Rights" forum, which educates Oklahomans on legal matters and gathers feedback on community issues. His annual Family Fun Day events showcase his commitment to empowering and supporting the community and have provided over 10,000 families with free school supplies, health screenings, haircuts and more.
As Oklahoma County Commissioner for District 1, Jason Lowe will continue to champion justice, civil rights and mental health. His proven track record makes him the ideal candidate to lead positive change in Oklahoma County.
